Nobody can predict when the quota will fill up. However, note that there are wide spread rumors about the regular quota being used up as early as the first day and Masters within a few weeks. Its in your best interest to file as early as possible.

No, Only a Green Card holder in a Legal Permanment Resident. All other Visa Holder or Pending AOS is not LRP yet, but that should not cause an issue with your loan application. They might ask additional documents to validate you status here, but should be okay.

When one graduates from University is he/she eligible to still work for the University while waiting for the OPT?
i.e. graduation date (dec 22) - opt start date (january 17th)

Hi,
I am planning to get my H1B extension Visa stamped in Montreal, Canada. i am in US right now. I have completed the online application. I have paid the fee through my credit card and the status of the transaction is showing as "Pending" in my bank account. I can able to see "MRV Fee Receipt Number". i can also able to see Schedule Appointment First Available: Friday, November 12, 2010 09:30 AM. But I am not able to schedule an appointment. All of the steps I performed on Yesterday. So I have waited for today for any changes and all remains the same.
Please help me.

I am working on EAD which I received from my EB3 category(labor date - Oct, 2004). My new employer filed a new application for EB2 category in Nov, 2010, my labor got approved within 3 months and they went for the next step filing my I-140 PETITION. They attached my previous I-140( from Eb3 category) along with the new application seeking to port the old priority date. Here is the REF which they received on 23, March 2011.
"Please provide evidence to show that the petitioner will be employing the beneficiary to fill the specific vacancy. In addition, provide a detail description of the work to be performed, including specific job duties, level of responsibility and number of hours per week of work to be performed.
You must sumbit the requested information within 30 days from the date of this letter. Failure to do so may result in the denial of your petition"
Please suggest. My attorney is working on this.
